Jay Morrice vs Kieran Machuca

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 13/06/2027:

Clearly Gore Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jay Morrice (3 - 0) who hails from Lowell, USA and Kieran Machuca(3 - 1) from Tallahassee, USA.  Both Morrice and Machuca weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Oliver McCleese, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Burt, Fred Reese and Elliot Ogle.  

Round 1: 

Morrice drives a stinging left hook into Machuca's ribs.  
Morrice manages to force Machuca into the corner.  Morrice lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Morrice lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Morrice connects with a left hook.  Morrice holds on to his opponent.  Morrice leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Morrice is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Morrice to stop fouling.

Machuca manages to force Morrice onto the ropes.  Morrice is on target with a right hook to Machuca's body.  
Morrice sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Morrice digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Morrice ties up his opponent.  Morrice leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Morrice's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Machuca feints a left hook, but Morrice does not fall for it and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Machuca pivots to the left of his opponent.  Machuca lands a jab.  Machuca attempts to land a left hook, but Morrice blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook to Machuca's body.  
Morrice steps inside.  Machuca pivots to the left of his opponent.  Machuca throws a right uppercut, but Morrice ties up his opponent.  Morrice tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Machuca behind the head. The referee warns Morrice and breaks the clinch.  
Morrice sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Morrice closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Morrice lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Machuca's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Machuca's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Morrice tries to land a right hook, but Machuca dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Morrice sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Machuca lands a cross.  
Morrice lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morrice digs in a solid right hook to Machuca's ribs.  
Morrice lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Morrice hits home with a right hook.  
Morrice is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Machuca attempts to land a left uppercut, but Morrice slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.
