Berend Piepmeier vs Maximilian Scherle

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Koelnmesse, Cologne,  taking place on 07/08/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Berend Piepmeier (13(5) - 1) who hails from Dresden, Germany and Maximilian Scherle(6 - 11 - 3) from Bochum, Germany.  Both Piepmeier and Scherle weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amwolf Kummer, and the three ringside judges are Arnold Joel, Dieter Scheideman and Ivo Saltzer.  

Round 1: 

Piepmeier gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Piepmeier ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Piepmeier pushes his forearm into Scherle's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Piepmeier about fouling.  
Piepmeier lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Piepmeier clinches his opponent.  Piepmeier leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Piepmeier's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Scherle steps to the outside.  Piepmeier lands two straights followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Piepmeier advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Piepmeier manouvers Scherle into the blue corner.  Piepmeier lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Piepmeier clinches his opponent.  Piepmeier leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Scherle throws a left hook, but Piepmeier clinches his opponent.  Piepmeier uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Scherle's kidney.

Scherle throws a right hook, but Piepmeier clinches his opponent.  Piepmeier leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Scherle pivots to the side of his opponent.  Piepmeier drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Piepmeier ties up his opponent.  Piepmeier leans on his opponent using all his weight. Piepmeier uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Scherle behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
