Juan Berlanga vs Sinclair Haddad

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Jenny Craig Pavilion, San Diego,  taking place on 28/07/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Cobra Berlanga (23(13) - 0) who hails from Bakersfield, USA and Sinclair Haddad(14(1) - 7(1)) from Douala, Cameroon.  Both Berlanga and Haddad weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Jones, and the three ringside judges are Sean Bowens, Zach Alanis and Greg Blanco.  

Round 1: 

Berlanga lands with a hard jab.  
Berlanga is looking to keep his distance and hits the target with a hard jab.  
Haddad closes the distance and manouvers Berlanga onto the ropes.  Haddad pivots to the right of his opponent.  Berlanga is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Berlanga is on target with a right hook to Haddad's body.  Berlanga ties up his opponent.  Berlanga pushes his forearm into Haddad's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Berlanga about fouling.  
Haddad throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Berlanga ties up his opponent.  Haddad is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Haddad.  
Haddad lands a jab, left hook and a jab to his opponents head.  
Berlanga steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Haddad lands a stinging jab.  
Berlanga steps away from his opponent and hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Berlanga is on target with a solid jab to Haddad's body.  
Haddad gets on the inside.  Berlanga hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Berlanga digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Berlanga tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Haddad gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Berlanga steps to the outside.  Haddad quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Berlanga connects with an overhand right.  
Berlanga connects with a sharp overhand right.  
Berlanga strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Berlanga lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Haddad sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Haddad throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a VICIOUS cross.  HADDAD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Haddad recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Berlanga lands a jab to Haddad's body.  
Haddad attempts to land a jab, but Berlanga slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Haddad tries to land a jab, but Berlanga sidesteps and counters with a FEROCIOUS left hook.  HADDAD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Haddad quickly recovers. 
Berlanga feints a right hook, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Haddad advances into close range.  Berlanga is on target with a left hook to Haddad's body.  
Berlanga lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Berlanga steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Berlanga lands two straights followed by an overhand left to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Haddad closes the distance.  Berlanga is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Berlanga lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND SENDS HADDAD TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Haddad now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Haddad's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Haddad's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Haddad's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Haddad closes the distance and connects with a solid right hook.  Haddad attempts to land a right hook, but Berlanga slips the shot and counters with a HUGE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE HADDAD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Berlanga senses Haddad is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Berlanga connects with a spiteful left uppercut.  HADDAD IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT HADDAD CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Berlanga!
