Ton Trai vs Jun Ikeda

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Ninja Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 03/07/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ton Trai (4(1) - 0) who hails from Hanoi, Vietnam and Jun Ikeda(2 - 5 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Trai and Ikeda weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Toyama, and the three ringside judges are Hisoka Yamamoto, Satoshi Fuse and Ryo Nagasawa.  

Round 1: 

Ikeda closes the distance.  Trai drives a left uppercut into Ikeda's body.  Trai holds on to his opponent.  Ikeda tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Trai behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Trai feints a right, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Trai lands with a stinging jab.  Trai attempts to land an overhand left, but Ikeda sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Trai connects with a left uppercut.  
Ikeda is looking to close the distance.  Ikeda sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Trai is on target with a firm left hook.  Trai clinches his opponent.  Trai leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Trai's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
