Douglas Baird vs Rijker Wuts

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Devonshire House Hotel, Liverpool,  taking place on 23/07/2027:

Clearly Kurusu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Douglas Baird (1 - 0) who hails from Dundee, UK and Rijker Wuts(0 - 4) from Rotterdam, Netherlands.  Baird weighed in at 199 pounds and 12 ounces, while Wuts weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Fate, and the three ringside judges are John Magee, Paul McCalla and Noel Moris.  

Round 1: 

Baird is looking to close the distance.  Baird pivots to the left of his opponent andAs Wuts tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Baird dabs at his face checking for damage.  Baird has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Baird lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Baird sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  As Wuts tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Baird dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Baird feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Baird pivots from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.

Baird voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Wuts accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Baird.
