Ignado Villamor vs Rafael Diaz

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at LIV Nightclub, Miami,  taking place on 16/07/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ignado Villamor (3 - 0) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Rafael Diaz(2 - 3) from Havana, Cuba.  Villamor weighed in at 104 pounds and 1 ounces, while Diaz weighed in at 104 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Daniel Wright, and the three ringside judges are Paul Maskell, Chris Villalta and Brett Arthur.  

Round 1: 

Villamor steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Villamor closes the distance.  Villamor sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Villamor tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Villamor gets on the inside.  Villamor pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Diaz throws a right uppercut, but Villamor ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Diaz pushes his forearm into Villamor's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Villamor closes the distance.  Villamor sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Villamor lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Villamor sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Villamor lands a cross.  Villamor throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Villamor advances into close range.  Villamor lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Diaz connects with a cross.  
Villamor sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Villamor advances into close range.  Diaz throws a left hook, but Villamor ties up his opponent.  Villamor is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Villamor.  
Villamor lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Villamor gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  Villamor clinches his opponent.  Diaz is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Diaz switches the action to the outside.  Villamor hits home with a cross.  
Villamor is looking to close the distance.  Villamor backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Diaz tries to tag Villamor on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Diaz pivots to the right of his opponent.  Villamor connects with a left uppercut.  
Villamor lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Villamor clinches his opponent.  Villamor is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Diaz switches the action to the outside and attempts to land an overhand right, but Villamor sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Diaz's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Diaz's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
