Diego Sanchez vs Alejandro Atienza

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Estadio Osvaldo Casanova, Bahía Blanca,  taking place on 04/08/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Publica, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Sanchez (15(7) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from La Plata, Argentina and Alejandro Atienza(6 - 6 - 6) from La Plata, Argentina.  Both Sanchez and Atienza weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eloy Varona, and the three ringside judges are Juan Gil, Diego Arellano and Onofre Lince.  

Round 1: 

Sanchez steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sanchez crashes a hurtful left uppercut to Atienza's body.  ATIENZA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Sanchez lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sanchez finds the target with a jab.  
Atienza hits home with a left hook.  
Atienza steps inside.  Sanchez lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Sanchez lands a left hook to the head followed by two left uppercut's to the body.  Atienza now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Sanchez lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Sanchez gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Sanchez clinches his opponent.  Sanchez leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sanchez lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sanchez ties up his opponent.  Sanchez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sanchez.  
Sanchez advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sanchez clinches his opponent.  Sanchez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sanchez advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sanchez gets on the inside and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Sanchez lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sanchez gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Sanchez clinches his opponent.  Sanchez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Atienza behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sanchez to stop fouling.  
Sanchez pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Atienza throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Sanchez to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Atienza and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Sanchez digs in a right uppercut to Atienza's ribcage.  Sanchez throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sanchez slams a hurtful right hook into Atienza's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE ATIENZA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Sanchez is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Sanchez lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS ATIENZA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Sanchez lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the body, KNOCKING ATIENZA DOWN!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Sanchez!
