Kong Tung vs Iwao Kuba

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 17/07/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the East Asian Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kong Tung (19(9) - 1(1)) who hails from Hangzhou, China and Iwao Kuba(15(2) - 2(2) - 1) from Amagasaki, Japan.  Both Tung and Kuba weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yutaka Hirayama, and the three ringside judges are Hideki Ishibashi, Dai Usui and Kaede Toyama.  

Round 1: 

Tung lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.

Kuba throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Kuba leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Tung's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
