Noel Ferris vs Zack Forgie

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Centennial Gardens, Bakersfield,  taking place on 11/08/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Noel Ferris (2 - 0) who hails from Salem, USA and Zack Forgie(6 - 12(3)) from San Diego, USA.  Both Ferris and Forgie weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ben Banos, and the three ringside judges are Mick Gwilym, Patrick Barro and Adam Reina.  

Round 1: 

Ferris advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ferris lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Ferris gets on the inside.  Forgie throws a left hook, but Ferris clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Ferris pushes his forearm into Forgie's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Ferris forces Forgie to back into the corner.  Ferris lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Ferris holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ferris pushes his forearm into Forgie's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ferris about fouling.
