Xayvion Attoh vs Sam Boakye

Boxing Daily Report from the Busia Promotions promoted show at Kumasi Kuma, Kumasi,  taking place on 19/06/2027:

Clearly Busia Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xayvion Attoh (7 - 10 - 2) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Sam Boakye(4 - 11) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Attoh and Boakye weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Kwakye, and the three ringside judges are Chata Ankrah, Brad Kyei and Uland Adade.  

Round 1: 

Attoh steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Boakye accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Attoh.  Boakye drives a right hook into Attoh's body.  
Boakye tries to land a cross, but Attoh slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Attoh steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Boakye quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Attoh is on target with a left hook.  
Boakye steps inside.  Boakye sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Attoh tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Boakye digs in a left uppercut to Attoh's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Attoh's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Boakye's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

As Attoh tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Boakye has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused a minor cut .
