Manuel Canseco vs Joaquin Fidel

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Solís Theatre, Montevideo,  taking place on 15/08/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Manuel Canseco (8(2) - 0) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Joaquin Fidel(10 - 11 - 6) from Cochabamba, Bolivia.  Both Canseco and Fidel weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ramirez Barquero, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Jiminez, Ivan Barco and Desiderio Cuesta.  

Round 1: 

Canseco gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Fidel lands a jab.  
Canseco steps inside.  Fidel throws a right hook, but Canseco clinches his opponent.  Canseco pushes his forearm into Fidel's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Canseco.  
Canseco walks his opponent into the corner.  Canseco lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Canseco holds on to his opponent.  Canseco leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Canseco lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Canseco is on target with a left hook.  Canseco throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Canseco's body.  
Canseco forces Fidel to retreat into the corner.  Canseco lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Canseco advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Canseco lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Canseco lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Canseco clinches his opponent.  Canseco leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Canseco pushes his forearm into Fidel's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Canseco gets on the inside and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Fidel throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Canseco gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Canseco is on target with a right hook.  
Canseco lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Canseco is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  Canseco ties up his opponent.  Canseco is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fidel's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Fidel's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Fidel throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Canseco time to recover.

Canseco walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Canseco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Canseco lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Fidel throws a right hook, but Canseco holds on to his opponent.  Canseco is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Canseco's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Canseco lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Fidel lands a jab.  
Canseco gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Fidel recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Canseco closes the distance.  Canseco sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Canseco is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by two left uppercut's to the body, AND DOWN GOES FIDEL!  He manages to get up at 5.  Fidel recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Fidel's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Fidel's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
