Ovidio Jiminez vs Vicente Yepez

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Arena Maipu, Mendoza,  taking place on 26/08/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Argentina Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Publica, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ovidio Jiminez (16(6) - 1) who hails from Rosario, Argentina and Vicente Yepez(16(9) - 0) from San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina.  Both Jiminez and Yepez weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraco Bernardo, and the three ringside judges are Eloy Monreal, Santiago Lacerda and Saturnin Galvan.

Jiminez drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Jiminez tries to land a right hook, but Yepez blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Yepez switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Yepez finds the target with a jab.  
Yepez is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Jiminez quickly recovers.

Yepez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jiminez dabs at his face checking for damage.
