Shayan Sharifi vs Mark Goff

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Varsity Arena, Toronto,  taking place on 06/08/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Shayan Sharifi (9(6) - 0) who hails from Hyderabad, India and Mark Goff(1 - 2) from Hamilton, Canada.  Sharifi weighed in at 252 pounds and 9 ounces, while Goff weighed in at 240 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Leo Gaddie, and the three ringside judges are Ethan Craig, Nick Nicolson and Clint Nicolls.  

Round 1: 

Sharifi switches the action to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a firm jab.

Round 2: 

Goff closes the distance.  Sharifi throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Sharifi ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sharifi pushes his forearm into Goff's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sharifi to stop fouling.  
Goff cuts off the ring, trapping Sharifi on the ropes.  Goff quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sharifi hits home with a stiff jab.  
Goff sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Goff throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Goff steps inside.  Sharifi connects with a stinging right hook.  
Sharifi tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Goff gets on the inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Goff dabs at his face checking for damage.

Goff is looking to close the distance.  Sharifi lands a stinging right hook.  Sharifi holds on to his opponent.  Sharifi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Goff manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Goff is desperate to make more of an impact on his opponent.   He turns Sharifi and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref doesnt appear to have noticed the foul and signals for the action to continue.

Goff sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sharifi lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Goff closes the distance.  Goff is starting to lose his head here!   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref takes no action over the foul, despite complaints from Sharifi.  
Sharifi is looking to keep his distance and lands a nasty cross.  GOFF IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.

You can sense the frustration from Goff now.   He swings an uppercut into his opponents groin! The ref tells Goff to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Sharifi time to recover.  
Sharifi lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Sharifi steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Goff quickly recovers. 
Sharifi is on target with a jab to Goff's body.  
Sharifi lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.
