Edmundo Gangan vs Sagaz Madla

Boxing Daily Report from the Obita Promotions promoted show at Cruz Peinado Gym, General Trias,  taking place on 08/08/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-Cavite Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Edmundo Gangan (12 - 5 - 4) who hails from Dasmarinas, Philippines and Sagaz Madla(8 - 2 - 3) from Silang, Philippines.  Gangan weighed in at 140 pounds, while Madla weighed in at 139 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ulises Tacud, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Malacad, Santiago Atay and Joey Dato.  

Round 1: 

Madla throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Madla throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Madla feints a jab, but Gangan is not fooled and is on target with a left hook to Madla's ribs.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Madla dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Madla.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
