Rehan Imam vs Haider Arafat

Boxing Daily Report from the Rooq Promotions promoted show at Shah Alam Rais, Shah Alam,  taking place on 01/08/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Rehan Imam (9(6) - 0) who hails from Alexandria, Egypt and Haider Arafat(8 - 11 - 1) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Both Imam and Arafat weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zafa Othman, and the three ringside judges are Rashid Saad, Shayan Zadeh and Sajid Bari.  

Round 1: 

Imam finds the target with a jab.  
Arafat attempts to land a jab, but Imam slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Imam gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Imam clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Imam pushes his forearm into Arafat's face.  The referee warns Imam and breaks the clinch.  
Imam is looking to close the distance.  Arafat sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Arafat tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook to Arafat's ribs.  
Imam steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Imam lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Imam lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Imam ties up his opponent.  Imam leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Imam lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Imam steps inside.  Imam pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Imam lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Imam holds on to his opponent.  Imam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Imam pushes his forearm into Arafat's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Imam about fouling.

Imam closes the distance.  Imam wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Arafat has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Imam lands a cross, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head.

Imam lands a sharp right hook.  As Imam tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Arafat dabs at his face checking for damage.

Imam advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Arafat throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.

Imam manages to force Arafat into a corner.  Imam lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Imam holds on to his opponent.  Imam tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Arafat behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Imam digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Imam lands a left uppercut.  
Imam drives a left uppercut into Arafat's body.  Imam clinches his opponent.  Imam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Imam lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Imam holds on to his opponent.  Imam uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Arafat's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Imam to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Arafat's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Arafat's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Arafat's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
