Jack Ngamoki vs Zachary Hughes

Boxing Daily Report from the TooOldToParty promoted show at Ian McAllister Gym, Melbourne,  taking place on 01/08/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jack Ngamoki (3 - 0) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Zachary Hughes(1 - 2) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Ngamoki and Hughes weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leeroy Nicolaides, and the three ringside judges are Mark McBride, Ricky Gebbie and Dom Clapperton.  

Round 1: 

Ngamoki steps inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Ngamoki hits home with a cross.

Ngamoki throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Ngamoki ties up his opponent.  Ngamoki pushes his forearm into Hughes's face.  The referee warns Ngamoki and breaks the clinch.

Ngamoki lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hughes connects with a left hook.  
Ngamoki drives a left hook into Hughes's liver.  
Ngamoki gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hughes lands a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hughes's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Hughes's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
