Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Alberta promoted show at Calgary Ruxton, Calgary,  taking place on 16/08/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Voils (7 - 7 - 4) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Dan Cousar(10(1) - 2) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Voils and Cousar weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Methvin, and the three ringside judges are Chris Crear, Malcolm Jones and Wayne Gall.  

Round 1: 

Voils is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
Cousar steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Cousar clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Cousar pushes his forearm into Voils's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cousar lands a solid left hook.  
Voils pivots from in front of his opponent.  Voils throws a right hook, but Cousar clinches his opponent.  Cousar leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Cousar pushes his forearm into Voils's face.  The ref breaks Cousar's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cousar forces Voils to retreat onto the ropes.  Cousar digs in a left hook to Voils's ribs.  
Voils steps to the outside.  Cousar drives a jab into his opponents body.
