Joshua Beete vs Waqas Kazemi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Abia State promoted show at Umuahia Ekpo, Umuahia,  taking place on 26/08/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Nigeria-Abia State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joshua Beete (17 - 2(1)) who hails from Aba, Nigeria and Waqas Kazemi(9 - 1) from Aba, Nigeria.  Both Beete and Kazemi weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matthew Offoin, and the three ringside judges are Lukman Shuaib, Thompson Orelesi and Bature Adelakun.  

Round 1: 

Kazemi tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab.  
Kazemi switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Beete sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
