Cruz Chavis vs Robert Edmundson

Boxing Daily Report from the Badoe Promotions promoted show at James Isbister Gym, Evansville,  taking place on 02/09/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Great Lakes Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cruz Chavis (10 - 2 - 1) who hails from Indianapolis, USA and Robert Edmundson(6 - 5 - 1) from Fort Wayne, USA.  Chavis weighed in at 104 pounds And 5 ounces, while Edmundson weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Lockart, and the three ringside judges are Joseph Nicolson, Joseph Nicolson and Bruce Nish.  

Round 1: 

Chavis gets on the inside.  Chavis pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Edmundson steps away from his opponent.  Edmundson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Chavis lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Edmundson pivots to the side of his opponent.  Chavis lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Chavis attempts to land a left hook, but Edmundson parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Chavis lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Chavis is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Edmundson is looking to keep his distance.  Chavis lands a jab.  
Chavis is on target with a right hook to Edmundson's ribcage.  
Chavis walks Edmundson down, trapping him on the ropes.  Chavis pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Edmundson's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Edmundson's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Edmundson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
