Lloyd Saunders vs Zack Mordecai

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Saint Catherine promoted show at Spanish Town Milleson, Spanish Town,  taking place on 02/09/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lloyd Saunders (12(7) - 0) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Zack Mordecai(2 - 2) from Portmore, Jamaica.  Both Saunders and Mordecai weighed in at 153 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Elliot Nist, and the three ringside judges are Matt Rind, John Grass and James Crossin.  

Round 1: 

Saunders advances into close range.  Saunders sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Mordecai pivots to the right of his opponent.  Mordecai throws a left hook, but Saunders holds on to his opponent.  Saunders pushes his forearm into Mordecai's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Saunders about fouling.

Saunders manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Saunders lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Saunders clinches his opponent.  Saunders leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Saunders is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Saunders feints a cross, and then lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Saunders gets on the inside.  Saunders quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a firm right uppercut.  
Saunders lands with a spiteful jab.  
Saunders closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Mordecai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mordecai throws a right hook, but Saunders holds on to his opponent.  Saunders leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Saunders's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Saunders manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Saunders lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Saunders drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Saunders lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Saunders is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Saunders whips in a hurtful right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  MORDECAI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Mordecai has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mordecai's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mordecai's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Saunders steps inside.  Saunders pivots to the left of his opponent.  Saunders throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Saunders holds on to his opponent.  Saunders leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Saunders lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Saunders feints a left, and then lands with a spiteful jab.  
Saunders advances into close range.  Saunders sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mordecai throws a left hook, but Saunders ties up his opponent.  Saunders is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Saunders's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Saunders lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.
