Billy Erwin vs Cody Mortensen

Boxing Daily Report from the Sugar Valley promotion promoted show at Westin Bonaventure Hotel, Los Angeles,  taking place on 24/09/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Billy Erwin (14(1) - 0) who hails from Wichita, USA and Cody Mortensen(7 - 12 - 3) from Cleveland, USA.  Erwin weighed in at 125 pounds And 11 ounces, while Mortensen weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ricky Valle, and the three ringside judges are Dillon Downey, Patrick Barro and Andy Johnson.  

Round 1: 

Mortensen closes the distance.  Erwin lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Erwin has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Erwin pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Erwin tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand left, cross and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Mortensen gets on the inside.  Erwin lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mortensen's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
