Danny Monaghan vs Ian Scott

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Echo Arena, Liverpool,  taking place on 08/10/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Danny Monaghan (23(12) - 1) who hails from Manchester, UK and Ian Scott(4 - 2 - 1) from London, UK.  Both Monaghan and Scott weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Owen Wallace, and the three ringside judges are Dale Garrett, James MacDuff and Mark Querry.  

Round 1: 

Monaghan advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Monaghan ties up his opponent.  Monaghan pushes his forearm into Scott's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Monaghan to stop fouling.  
Monaghan is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Monaghan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Monaghan is on target with a solid left hook to Scott's liver.  Monaghan ties up his opponent.  Monaghan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Monaghan forces Scott to retreat into the red corner.  Monaghan is on target with a left uppercut.  Monaghan holds on to his opponent.  Monaghan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Monaghan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Scott behind the head. 
Monaghan lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.

Monaghan feints a left, and then lands a jab.  
Monaghan gets on the inside and lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Monaghan closes the distance and drives a sharp left hook into Scott's body.  
Monaghan is on target with a left uppercut.  
Monaghan hits home with a firm right hook.  
Monaghan lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Monaghan is on target with a left hook to Scott's body.  
Monaghan feints a cross, and then drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Monaghan closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Monaghan clinches his opponent.  Monaghan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Scott advances into close range.  Monaghan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Monaghan lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Monaghan clinches his opponent.  Monaghan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Scott behind the head. Monaghan leans on his opponent using all his weight. Monaghan uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Scott's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Monaghan to stop fouling.

Monaghan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a stiff jab.  
Monaghan advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to Scott's body.  
Scott sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Monaghan is on target with a jab.  
Scott steps inside.  Monaghan lands a right hook.  Monaghan clinches his opponent.  Monaghan hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Monaghan advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Scott recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Monaghan closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Monaghan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Monaghan sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Monaghan lands a cross to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a cross to the head, AND DOWN GOES SCOTT!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Scott now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Monaghan gets on the inside.  Scott attempts to land a left hook, but Monaghan dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Monaghan lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Scott's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Scott's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Monaghan lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Monaghan closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Scott recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Monaghan forces Scott to back into the corner.  Monaghan lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Monaghan digs in a solid left hook to Scott's body.  
Monaghan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Monaghan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Monaghan is looking to close the distance.  Monaghan senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Monaghan lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He then lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head, KNOCKING SCOTT DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Monaghan!
