Zafa Maharramov vs Tariq Sheikh

Boxing Daily Report from the Andoh Promotions promoted show at Tabriz Muradov, Tabriz,  taking place on 22/08/2027:

Clearly Andoh Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Iran-East Azerbaijan Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zafa Maharramov (6 - 3 - 4) who hails from Tabriz, Iran and Tariq Sheikh(11 - 4 - 1) from Tabriz, Iran.  Maharramov weighed in at 248 pounds, while Sheikh weighed in at 240 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kamran Diab, and the three ringside judges are Mohsin Sesay, Mohsin Sesay and Amjad Agayev.  

Round 1: 

Sheikh forces Maharramov to retreat into the corner.  Sheikh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Maharramov pivots to the right of his opponent.  Sheikh tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Maharramov is looking to close the distance.  Maharramov retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Sheikh accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Maharramov.  Sheikh is on target with a left uppercut.
