Alen Pierce vs Wayne Courau

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Tower Theatre, Fresno,  taking place on 27/10/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Pacific Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alen Pierce (18(10) - 0) who hails from Long Beach, USA and Wayne Courau(17 - 9(2) - 2) from Seattle, USA.  Both Pierce and Courau weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Juarez, and the three ringside judges are Danyaal Ghazi, Darryl Bruce and Kiki Aybar.  

Round 1: 

Pierce advances into close range and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  Pierce holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pierce pushes his forearm into Courau's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Courau steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Courau drives a jab into Pierce's body.  
Courau hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Pierce is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Courau recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pierce lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Pierce steps inside.  Courau connects with a left hook.  Pierce holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pierce pushes his forearm into Courau's face.  The ref breaks Pierce's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Courau throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Pierce ties up his opponent.  Pierce hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Pierce pushes his forearm into Courau's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pierce.

Courau throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a CRUSHING cross.  COURAU WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Pierce thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Courau away.  Pierce SLAMS a WICKED left hook into his opponents face.  COURAU IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Courau now seems to have got his legs back.  
Pierce lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Courau drives a right hook into his opponents body.

Courau lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Courau attempts to land a left hook, but Pierce blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Courau is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but Pierce sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.

Courau switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Pierce sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents ribs.
