Dominic Opaleye vs Malik Taha

Boxing Daily Report from the Vartughian Promotions promoted show at Chima Isola Gym, Osogbo,  taking place on 27/08/2027:

Clearly Vartughian Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Osun State Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dominic Opaleye (7 - 13(1) - 6) who hails from Ife, Nigeria and Malik Taha(6 - 11 - 4) from Ilesa, Nigeria.  Opaleye weighed in at 230 pounds and 5 ounces, while Taha weighed in at 212 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Brown Prest, and the three ringside judges are Mudashiru Ebor, Chigozie Bada and Mfon Nemine.  

Round 1: 

Opaleye gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.

Opaleye closes the distance.  Opaleye drives a right hook into his opponents body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Opaleye dabs at his face checking for damage.
