Ollie Maddox vs Farhan Lalji

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Silver Creek Sportsplex, San Jose,  taking place on 03/11/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ollie Ox Maddox (24(11) - 0) who hails from San Bernardino, USA and Farhan Lalji(18 - 3 - 1) from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  Maddox weighed in at 134 pounds and 15 ounces, while Lalji weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clint Grullon, and the three ringside judges are Glynn Flockhart, Zuffur Mahmoud and Darryl Bruce.  

Round 1: 

Maddox lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Lalji lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Lalji tries to land a jab, but Maddox blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Lalji tries to step out of his opponents range.  Maddox lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Maddox advances into close range.  Maddox sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp left hook.  
Lalji steps to the outside.  Maddox lands a jab to the body, an overhand right to the head and a cross to the head.

Maddox advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.

Lalji quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lalji tries to land a cross, but Maddox dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Maddox manages to force Lalji onto the ropes.  Maddox pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Maddox pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Maddox throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Maddox clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Maddox pushes his forearm into Lalji's face.  The ref breaks Maddox's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Maddox closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Lalji attempts to land a jab, but Maddox blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Maddox retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Lalji tries to tag Maddox on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Maddox lands a sharp right hook.  Maddox attempts to land a jab, but Lalji sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Maddox dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Maddox is on target with a solid cross.  Maddox attempts to land a cross, but Lalji slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Maddox steps inside and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lalji tries to land a jab, but Maddox parries the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Maddox is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Lalji pivots to the side of his opponent.  Lalji hits home with a firm left hook.  Lalji tries to land a cross, but Maddox sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Lalji lands a cross.  
Maddox is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Maddox lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Maddox is on target with a sharp left hook to Lalji's body.  Maddox ties up his opponent.  Maddox pushes his forearm into Lalji's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Maddox lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Maddox lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Lalji could be stopped here, if Maddox can find the right shot!  Maddox lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS LALJI TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Lalji now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Maddox steps inside and hits home with a stinging right hook.
