Sam MacInnis vs David Baughn

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Mississippi promoted show at Jackson George, Jackson,  taking place on 03/10/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Deep South Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam MacInnis (12(3) - 2(2) - 1) who hails from Jackson, USA and David Baughn(10 - 8 - 3) from Nashville, USA.  Both MacInnis and Baughn weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richard Cargill, and the three ringside judges are Hayden McCallum, Richard Cargill and Geoff Biggar.  

Round 1: 

Baughn lands a cross.  
MacInnis lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
MacInnis hits home with a cross.  
MacInnis steps to the outside.  MacInnis feints a jab, fooling Baughn into throwing a right uppercut counter.  MacInnis springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.  
MacInnis steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
MacInnis lands a solid cross.  
MacInnis lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Baughn advances into close range.  MacInnis hits home with a stinging left hook.  MacInnis clinches his opponent.  MacInnis pushes his forearm into Baughn's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns MacInnis.  
MacInnis steps away from his opponent.  MacInnis feints a cross, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Baughn gets on the inside and tries to land a left hook, but MacInnis dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
MacInnis tries to keep the action at long range.  MacInnis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
MacInnis steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
MacInnis feints a left hook, but Baughn is not fooled and is on target with a right uppercut.  
MacInnis lands a solid cross.  
MacInnis lands two straights followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
MacInnis SLAMS a SAVAGE cross into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE BAUGHN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Baughn could be stopped here, if MacInnis can find the right shot!  MacInnis lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a cross to the head, AND DROPS BAUGHN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
MacInnis lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND BAUGHN IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Baughn now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
MacInnis hits home with a cross.  
Baughn sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  MacInnis connects with a cross.  
MacInnis steps away from his opponent.  MacInnis feints a left, and then lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Baughn's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

MacInnis switches the action to the outside.  Baughn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  MacInnis is on target with a firm cross.  
MacInnis hits home with a sharp jab.  
MacInnis lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Baughn connects with a cross.  Baughn tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Baughn's body.  
Baughn advances into close range.  MacInnis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Baughn steps inside.  MacInnis lands a left uppercut.  MacInnis holds on to his opponent.  MacInnis is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Baughn manouvers MacInnis into a corner.  Baughn is on target with a left hook.  
Baughn closes the distance.  MacInnis lands a sharp right uppercut.  MacInnis clinches his opponent.  MacInnis leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks MacInnis's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
MacInnis steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
MacInnis is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
MacInnis is looking to force the stoppage!  MacInnis lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a cross to his opponents head.  The winner by KO is MacInnis!
