Alfonso Mestas vs Cortez Godino

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiberu Promotions promoted show at Valencia Murga, Valencia,  taking place on 29/10/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alfonso Mestas (16(9) - 0) who hails from Alcala de Henares, Spain and Cortez Godino(5 - 15 - 1) from Murcia, Spain.  Mestas weighed in at 140 pounds, while Godino weighed in at 139 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Xaverius Pollino, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Poma, Jerrold Armando and Senon Arcila.  

Round 1: 

Mestas gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Mestas clinches his opponent.  Mestas pushes his forearm into Godino's face.  The ref breaks Mestas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mestas lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  Mestas holds on to his opponent.  Mestas pushes his forearm into Godino's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mestas closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Godino switches the action to the outside.  Mestas feints a right hook, but Godino is not fooled and lands with a left hook.  
Mestas is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mestas clinches his opponent.  Mestas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Godino quickly recovers.
