Joaquin Miranda vs Aimon Ortiz

Boxing Daily Report from the Chigaga Promotions promoted show at Santa Cruz de la Sie Vidrio, Santa Cruz de la Sierra,  taking place on 18/10/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Bolivia Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Tigo Bolivia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joaquin Miranda (10(1) - 1) who hails from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia and Aimon Ortiz(22(8) - 4(2)) from Cochabamba, Bolivia.  Both Miranda and Ortiz weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luis Valderrama, and the three ringside judges are Angel Morejon, Carlos Quezada and Bronco Callejo.  

Round 1: 

Ortiz gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ortiz is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm left hook to Miranda's body.

Miranda throws a left hook, but Ortiz clinches his opponent.  Ortiz is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Ortiz and breaks the clinch.

Miranda attempts to land a left hook, but Ortiz slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.

Miranda tries to keep the action at long range.  Miranda could be stopped here, if Ortiz can find the right shot!  Ortiz lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, DROPPING MIRANDA TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Miranda has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
