David Matteson vs Max Edington

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Shreyas Gym, Boston,  taking place on 30/10/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Matteson (14 - 1) who hails from Wichita, USA and Max Edington(10 - 12(1) - 1) from Hamilton, Canada.  Both Matteson and Edington weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Evans, and the three ringside judges are Bilal Elbaz, Arnie Sherriff and Dave Greenan.  

Round 1: 

Matteson is looking to close the distance.  Edington throws a left hook, but Matteson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Matteson pushes his forearm into Edington's face.  The referee warns Matteson and breaks the clinch.  
Matteson lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Matteson holds on to his opponent.  Matteson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Matteson throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Matteson.  
Matteson advances into close range and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Matteson clinches his opponent.  Matteson leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Matteson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Edington throws a left hook, but Matteson clinches his opponent.  Matteson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Edington's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Matteson about fouling.  
Matteson lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Matteson closes the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Edington tries to land a jab, but Matteson blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Matteson pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Edington's body.  
Matteson stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Edington tries to land a jab, but Matteson blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Matteson steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.
