Jay Morrice vs Will Stealey

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 09/10/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jay Morrice (6 - 0) who hails from Lowell, USA and Will Stealey(3 - 0) from New York City, USA.  Both Morrice and Stealey weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bart McWethy, and the three ringside judges are Mike Stobie, Fred Reese and Oliver McCleese.  

Round 1: 

Morrice gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morrice lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morrice advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.

Stealey is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Morrice slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Stealey's body.  
Morrice gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but is not on target.  Morrice clinches his opponent.  Morrice pushes his forearm into Stealey's face.  The referee warns Morrice and breaks the clinch.  
Morrice throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Morrice ties up his opponent.  Morrice throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Morrice and breaks the clinch.  
Morrice advances into close range.  Stealey pivots to the side of his opponent.  Morrice lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Morrice is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Morrice closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Morrice throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Morrice clinches his opponent.  Morrice pushes his forearm into Stealey's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Morrice about fouling.  
Morrice is on target with a left uppercut to Stealey's ribs.  
Morrice drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Morrice lands a stinging right hook.  
Morrice lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Stealey's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Round 2: 

Morrice digs in a left hook to Stealey's ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Morrice.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Morrice hits home with a left uppercut.  
Morrice connects with a cross.  
Morrice is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  
Morrice drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
Morrice steps inside and is on target with a firm left hook.  
Morrice drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Morrice steps inside.  Morrice pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Morrice lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Morrice is on target with a left uppercut to Stealey's body.  
Morrice manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Morrice pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Morrice advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morrice lands a cross.  
Morrice steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Stealey on the ropes.  Morrice connects with a right hook.  
Morrice lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morrice is on target with a left uppercut to Stealey's body.  
Morrice lands a right hook.  
Morrice advances into close range.  Stealey throws a left hook, but Morrice ties up his opponent.  Morrice is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Morrice's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
