Duleep Apte vs Akil Rao

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Maharashtra promoted show at Aftab Azizi Gym, Mumbai,  taking place on 22/10/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India-Maharashtra Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Duleep Apte (17 - 9 - 2) who hails from Mumbai, India and Akil Rao(3 - 2 - 2) from Mumbai, India.  Both Apte and Rao weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Premnath Arya, and the three ringside judges are Farhan Diab, Lochan Vijay and Jasvinder Ayali.  

Round 1: 

Rao throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rao connects with a right hook.

Apte hits home with a right hook.  As Rao tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Apte.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  
Apte closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.
