Malik Taha vs Sam Umaru

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Borno State promoted show at Adumensa Gym, Maiduguri,  taking place on 28/10/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Malik Taha (20 - 3(1)) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Sam Umaru(5(2) - 1 - 1) from Bama, Nigeria.  Both Taha and Umaru weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Igbinadolor, and the three ringside judges are Waleed Akhter, Olufemi Doda and Shehu Akande.  

Round 1: 

Umaru closes the distance.  Taha lands a right hook.
