Joe Cay vs Paul Helm

Boxing Daily Report from the Spinger Boxing Club promoted show at Houston Evans, Houston,  taking place on 03/11/2027:

Clearly Spinger Boxing Club have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Cay (8 - 13(1) - 4) who hails from Austin, USA and Paul Helm(11(1) - 0) from San Antonio, USA.  Cay weighed in at 154 pounds, while Helm weighed in at 153 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rob Greenshields, and the three ringside judges are Faisal Rasul, Brett Sproule and Theo Whitehead.  

Round 1: 

Helm advances into close range and lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Helm forces Cay to back into a corner.  Cay throws a right hook, but Helm clinches his opponent.  Helm is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Helm pivots to the side of his opponent.  Helm throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Helm clinches his opponent.  Helm leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
