Rich Duffus vs Mark Ewen

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 27/11/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rich Duffus (14 - 2 - 1) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Mark Ewen(15 - 1) from Adelaide, Australia.  Duffus weighed in at 147 pounds, while Ewen weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Inigo Craigen, and the three ringside judges are Dave Antoni, Johnny Deasmhumhain and Robert Reekie.  

Round 1: 

Ewen is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
