Rudi Laas vs Liam Keefe

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Royal Dublin Society, Dublin,  taking place on 18/12/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rudi Laas (14(8) - 0) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Liam Keefe(10 - 11(2) - 1) from Cork, Ireland.  Both Laas and Keefe weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joshua Dermott, and the three ringside judges are Rory Finnegan, Sam Mulryan and Lee Donnell.  

Round 1: 

Laas is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Laas lands a hard jab.  
Keefe throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Keefe forces Laas to back into the ropes.  Laas is on target with a solid cross.  
Keefe tries to step out of his opponents range.  Laas lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Laas lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Laas is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Laas clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Laas pushes his forearm into Keefe's face.  The referee warns Laas and breaks the clinch.  
Keefe steps away from his opponent.  Laas hits home with a cross.  
Laas is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Laas lands a stinging right hook.  Laas clinches his opponent.  Laas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Laas dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Laas forces Keefe to retreat into the corner.  Laas lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Laas holds on to his opponent.  Laas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Laas lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Laas hits home with a solid right hook.  
Laas lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Laas clinches his opponent.  Laas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Laas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Keefe quickly recovers. 
Keefe switches the action to the outside.  Laas hits home with a cross.  
Laas gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Laas is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Laas hits home with a left hook.  
Laas hits home with a stinging jab.  
Keefe tries to keep the action at long range.  Laas lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Laas lands two straights followed by an overhand left to his opponents head, AND SENDS KEEFE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Keefe quickly recovers. 
Laas closes the distance and drives a left hook into Keefe's body.  
Laas is on target with a right hook.  Laas holds on to his opponent.  Laas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Laas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Laas advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Laas clinches his opponent.  Laas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Laas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Laas walks Keefe onto the ropes.  Laas sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Keefe attempts to land a left hook, but Laas sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Keefe's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Laas lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Laas sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Laas digs in a right hook to Keefe's body.  
Laas lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a jab to the head.  
Laas closes the distance.  Laas lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Laas wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Keefe dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Laas lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Laas lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Laas lands a right uppercut.  Laas ties up his opponent.  Laas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Keefe's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Laas about fouling.  
Laas is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Laas lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Keefe could be stopped here, if Laas can find the right shot!  Laas DETONATES a big right uppercut on his opponents face.  KEEFE IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Laas lands a left hook, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS KEEFE DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  It looks like Keefe has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Laas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Keefe tries to land a jab, but Laas blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Laas lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Keefe recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Laas closes the distance and drives a left hook into Keefe's body.  
Laas lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Laas is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Laas sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Keefe's body.  
Keefe steps away from his opponent.  Laas lands with a ramrod jab.  
Laas closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Laas drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Laas holds on to his opponent.  Laas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Laas to stop holding.  
Laas pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Laas stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Laas lands a DEVASTATING right uppercut.  KEEFE IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Laas!
