Mikio Furuya vs Jiro Ishibashi

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Saitama Super Arena, Saitama,  taking place on 18/12/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WOWOW, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Furuya (24(15) - 1) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Jiro Ishibashi(13 - 7(5) - 1) from Nagoya, Japan.  Furuya weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces, while Ishibashi weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yutaka Hora, and the three ringside judges are Taro Hara, Yuichi Mihara and Shinji Kinoshita.

Furuya is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Furuya is on target with a mean right hook.  ISHIBASHI IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Ishibashi has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Furuya steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Furuya tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND DROPS ISHIBASHI!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Furuya!
