Charles Leiper vs Noah Huertas

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Centennial Gardens, Bakersfield,  taking place on 07/01/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Charles Leiper (4 - 1) who hails from Saskatoon, Canada and Noah Huertas(9 - 6 - 3) from Phoenix, USA.  Both Leiper and Huertas weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Salmond, and the three ringside judges are Sam Lowe, Ian Blevens and Sam Cant.  

Round 1: 

Leiper lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Huertas steps inside and throws a left hook, but Leiper ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Leiper pushes his forearm into Huertas's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Leiper quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Huertas's body.  
Huertas advances into close range.  Leiper drives a right uppercut into Huertas's body.  
Huertas throws a left hook, but Leiper ties up his opponent.  Leiper is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Leiper pushes his forearm into Huertas's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
