Min-hyeok Kwock vs Quinto Oquendo

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Differ Ariake, Tokyo,  taking place on 14/11/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Min-hyeok Kwock (1 - 0) who hails from Yongin, South Korea and Quinto Oquendo(5 - 8 - 2) from Bacoor, Philippines.  Both Kwock and Oquendo weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yutaka Hirayama, and the three ringside judges are Hisao Hatanaka, Yuichi Abe and Eiji Mizuno.  

Round 1: 

Oquendo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kwock throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kwock lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Kwock attempts to land a left hook, but Oquendo slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kwock pivots from in front of his opponent.  Oquendo finds the target with a jab.  
Kwock hits home with a stiff jab.  
Oquendo feints a cross, and then tries to land a jab, but Kwock sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Oquendo gets on the inside.  Kwock drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  Kwock tries to land a left hook, but Oquendo slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Kwock's body.  
Kwock switches the action to the outside and is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Kwock gets on the inside and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Oquendo throws a right hook, but Kwock clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Kwock pushes his forearm into Oquendo's face.  The referee warns Kwock and breaks the clinch.  
Kwock lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kwock gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kwock digs in a left hook to Oquendo's body.  
Kwock pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Kwock steps to the outside and lands two straights to the body followed by an overhand right to the head.  
Oquendo closes the distance.  Kwock lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kwock hits home with a left hook.  Kwock tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kwock tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Kwock lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kwock pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Kwock lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Oquendo wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kwock dabs at his face checking for damage.  Kwock has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Kwock steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Oquendo's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Oquendo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Oquendo's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Kwock advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Oquendo on the ropes.  Kwock connects with a left uppercut.  
Kwock is looking to keep his distance and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Kwock tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kwock steps inside and is on target with a firm right hook to Oquendo's ribcage.
