Eloy Ruan vs Ponce Laurel

Boxing Daily Report from the Kaiche Promotions promoted show at Zamboanga City Guani, Zamboanga City,  taking place on 28/11/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Philippines-Zamboanga del Sur Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Eloy Ruan (15(2) - 1 - 1) who hails from Pagadian, Philippines and Ponce Laurel(14 - 9 - 3) from Zamboanga City, Philippines.  Ruan weighed in at 121 pounds and 2 ounces, while Laurel weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Malang, and the three ringside judges are Tajo Manguino, Joaquin Sierra and Zelipe Ossa.  

Round 1: 

Ruan tries to land a jab, but Laurel sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Ruan steps inside and lands a right uppercut.  
Ruan is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  Ruan clinches his opponent.  Ruan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Laurel behind the head.

Ruan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ruan is on target with a right uppercut to Laurel's ribs.  Ruan ties up his opponent.  Ruan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Laurel is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Ruan lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ruan gets on the inside and digs in a sharp left hook to Laurel's body.

Ruan closes the distance.  Laurel throws a left uppercut, but Ruan clinches his opponent.  Ruan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ruan to stop fouling.
