Modest Du Toit vs Eric Ledwaba

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Western Cape promoted show at Xyshaun Magqwaka Gym, Cape Town,  taking place on 30/11/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Western Cape Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Modest Du Toit (7 - 5(1) - 2) who hails from Mitchells Plain, South Africa and Eric Ledwaba(10 - 12 - 2) from Khayelitsha, South Africa.  Both Du Toit and Ledwaba weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xhosas Serero, and the three ringside judges are Xhosas Serero, Runako Mashaba and Rob Ndombe.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ledwaba dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ledwaba.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
