Gethin Finlayson vs James Hamilton

Boxing Daily Report from the Bones Promotions promoted show at Stockton Hinshaw, Stockton,  taking place on 02/12/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Pacific Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Finlayson (12 - 10 - 3) who hails from Portland, USA and James Hamilton(13 - 10 - 1) from San Bernardino, USA.  Both Finlayson and Hamilton weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Billy Gracie, and the three ringside judges are John Stein, Dominic Owen and Ian Woodhead.  

Round 1: 

Finlayson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Hamilton sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Finlayson pivots to the side of his opponent.  Finlayson tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hamilton throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Finlayson switches the action to the outside.  Finlayson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hamilton is on target with a cross.  
Hamilton pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Finlayson hits home with a right hook.  
Hamilton is on target with a cross.  
Finlayson is looking to close the distance and connects with a right uppercut.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Finlayson has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused a slight cut above.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Finlayson.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.
