Lloyd Stasik vs Joey Applegarth

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Payne Whitney Gymnasium, New Haven,  taking place on 20/11/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Lloyd Stasik (6(3) - 0) who hails from Madison, USA and Joey Applegarth(0 - 2 - 3) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Stasik weighed in at 168 pounds, while Applegarth weighed in at 167 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Muncie, and the three ringside judges are James Waterston, Davie Maines and Ian Cragg.  

Round 1: 

Stasik lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Applegarth dabs at his face checking for damage.  Applegarth has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
