Vernon Seyrig vs Jerrold Burgo

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Mbaraki Sports Club, Mombasa,  taking place on 11/12/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WWX Sport, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Vernon Seyrig (3 - 0) who hails from Touba, Senegal and Jerrold Burgo(12 - 13(1)) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Seyrig and Burgo weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Connor Kamau, and the three ringside judges are Michael Bwakali, Michael Bwakali and Connor Kamau.  

Round 1: 

Burgo steps to the outside.  Seyrig is on target with a jab.  
Seyrig gets on the inside.  Burgo throws a left hook, but Seyrig ties up his opponent.  Seyrig leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Seyrig lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.

Seyrig advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Seyrig clinches his opponent.  Seyrig is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Seyrig's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Seyrig closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Burgo almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Burgo throws a left uppercut, but Seyrig ties up his opponent.  Seyrig uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Burgo's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Seyrig to stop fouling.  
Burgo switches the action to the outside and throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Seyrig's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Burgo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Seyrig lands a spiteful jab.
