Blaas Morseel vs Nathan Kirkland

Boxing Daily Report from the Bones Promotions promoted show at 16th Street Station, Oakland,  taking place on 12/12/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Blaas Morseel (16(11) - 0) who hails from Amsterdam, Netherlands and Nathan Kirkland(4 - 4 - 2) from Indianapolis, USA.  Both Morseel and Kirkland weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ricky Valle, and the three ringside judges are Joey Brice, Obaid Abdelnour and Michael Pride.  

Round 1: 

Morseel gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Morseel ties up his opponent.  Morseel is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Morseel about fouling.  
Morseel lands a stinging jab.  
Morseel hits home with a solid jab.  
Morseel digs in a sharp right uppercut to Kirkland's ribs.  Morseel clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Morseel manouvers Kirkland into the corner.  Morseel sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kirkland throws a left uppercut, but Morseel clinches his opponent.  Morseel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Morseel lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Morseel knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Morseel lands a cross to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND SENDS KIRKLAND SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Kirkland now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Morseel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Morseel hits home with a right hook.  Morseel ties up his opponent.  Morseel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Morseel sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Morseel is on target with a left uppercut.  Morseel ties up his opponent.  Morseel leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Morseel gets on the inside.  Kirkland throws a left hook, but Morseel clinches his opponent.  Kirkland tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Morseel behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Morseel lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Morseel manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Morseel lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Morseel lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Morseel lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Morseel forces Kirkland to back into a corner.  Morseel lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Morseel is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kirkland's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Kirkland's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Kirkland's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Kirkland throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Morseel drives a stinging left uppercut into Kirkland's body.  
Morseel lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Morseel ties up his opponent.  Morseel tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kirkland behind the head. Kirkland pushes his forearm into Morseel's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kirkland about fouling.  
Morseel slams a hurtful left hook into his opponents ribs.  KIRKLAND IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Morseel lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Kirkland now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Morseel lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Kirkland quickly recovers. 
Morseel gets on the inside and digs in a stinging right uppercut to Kirkland's ribcage.  
Morseel lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Morseel connects with a telling cross.  KIRKLAND IS HURT!  
Morseel closes the distance.  Some sustained pressure from Morseel could be enough to finish Kirkland!  Morseel lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS KIRKLAND DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Morseel!
