Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Maurice Richard Arena, Montreal,  taking place on 18/12/2027:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lordson Orakwue (20(16) - 1(1)) who hails from Warri, Nigeria and Karl Laidlaw(20(16) - 5(4)) from Galway, Ireland.  Both Orakwue and Laidlaw weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Olier Paradis, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Girardot, Louis Marvingt and James Mabon.  

Round 1: 

Orakwue gets on the inside.  Laidlaw tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging cross.

Laidlaw is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Laidlaw lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS ORAKWUE TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Laidlaw!
