Kenji Oh vs Keiichi Kaya

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Sumito Urayama Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 01/12/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kenji Oh (2 - 0) who hails from Shizuoka, Japan and Keiichi Kaya(9 - 8 - 6) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Oh and Kaya weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Akira Kishimoto, and the three ringside judges are Hiroki Amaya, Kazuhiko Nakano and Jiro Fukumoto.  

Round 1: 

Kaya quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Oh lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Oh advances into close range.  Kaya throws a right uppercut, but Oh ties up his opponent.  Oh is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Oh's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Oh gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Kaya tries to step out of his opponents range.  Oh is on target with a cross.  
Oh connects with a solid cross.  
Oh gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kaya steps away from his opponent.  Oh tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Oh advances into close range.  Oh wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kaya dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kaya tries to land a jab, but Oh slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Oh gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Oh gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  Oh throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Oh forces Kaya to retreat into the red corner.  Oh connects with a left hook.

Oh lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Oh clinches his opponent.  Oh leans on his opponent using all his weight. Oh tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kaya behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Oh lands a firm left hook.  Oh attempts to land a left uppercut, but Kaya sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Oh's body.  
Oh is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.

Oh forces Kaya to back into the blue corner.  As Oh tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kaya has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Oh lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.
