Ian Armour vs Lewis Cecil

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 11/12/2027:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Armour (11 - 14 - 2) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Lewis Cecil(4 - 0 - 1) from Townsville, Australia.  Both Armour and Cecil weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Gollon, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Deasmhumhain, Tobias Bruce and Ian Norris.  

Round 1: 

Cecil is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to Armour's body.  Cecil clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Cecil pushes his forearm into Armour's face.  The ref breaks Cecil's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Armour throws a left hook, but Cecil holds on to his opponent.  Cecil is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cecil about fouling.  
Cecil gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to Armour's body.  
Armour tries to keep the action at long range.  Cecil finds the target with a jab.  
Cecil closes the distance.  Armour pivots from in front of his opponent.  Cecil digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  Cecil clinches his opponent.  Cecil throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Cecil is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cecil is looking to close the distance.  Armour pivots to the side of his opponent.  Cecil lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Cecil is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  Cecil ties up his opponent.  Cecil uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Armour behind the head. The ref breaks Cecil's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cecil lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Cecil manouvers Armour into the corner.  Cecil lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cecil quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Armour switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Cecil is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
Cecil gets on the inside.  Armour attempts to land a left hook, but Cecil parries the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Cecil forces Armour to back into the ropes.  Cecil lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Cecil clinches his opponent.  Cecil is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cecil to stop fouling.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Armour's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Armour's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Armour's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Armour's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
