Nikifor Chobot vs Conrado Pegler

Boxing Daily Report from the Dan Archet Stable promoted show at Dan Gym, Lodz,  taking place on 10/12/2027:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Nikifor Chobot (6 - 0) who hails from Warsaw, Poland and Conrado Pegler(5 - 1 - 1) from Bonn, Germany.  Chobot weighed in at 247 pounds and 9 ounces, while Pegler weighed in at 230 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Zygfryd Walas, and the three ringside judges are Tomasz Wawrzyniak, Bohater Bruski and Gabrysz Wilensky.  

Round 1: 

Chobot advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.

Chobot manages to force Pegler into the corner.  Chobot lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Chobot clinches his opponent.  Chobot pushes his forearm into Pegler's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Chobot lands a stinging right hook.  
Chobot throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Chobot ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Chobot pushes his forearm into Pegler's face.  The referee warns Chobot and breaks the clinch.

Pegler tries to keep the action at long range.  Chobot lands a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pegler's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Pegler's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
