Beltran Velasco vs Juan Merlos

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Dominican Republic-San Pedro de Macoris promoted show at Manny Casares Gym, San Pedro de Macoris,  taking place on 15/12/2027:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Dominican Republic-San Pedro de Macoris Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Beltran Velasco (14 - 0) who hails from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic and Juan Merlos(5 - 4 - 2) from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.  Both Velasco and Merlos weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Crisostomo, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Crisostomo, Joaquin Mijares and Jaguar Segundo.  

Round 1: 

Velasco quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Velasco throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
